To support the Head of Enterprise Risk in managing the Group level risks, enabling the holistic view of the current and emerging risks faced by the firm, and supporting the process for the internal adequacy assessments of risk, capital and liquidity for external regulators globally (ICARA, ICAAP, IRAP, ILAP, etc)

Responsibilities:

• Analysis of enterprise-wide risk exposures including Market, Credit & Operational Risk factors and incorporating client level analysis where appropriate.
• Origination and collation of materials for external stakeholders including regulators, exchanges, rating agencies as well as internal stakeholders such as Board and sub-Board Committees.
• Responsible for the writing and co-ordination of ICARAs and ICAAPs on behalf of Risk, and other cross discipline risk analyses.
• Lead various change initiatives on behalf the Risk Department
• Evaluate overall risk & control framework across 1st & 2nd lines of defence to identify gaps in coverage and/ or implementation, addressing identified weaknesses as appropriate.
• Enhance & refine the Enterprise-Wide Risk Management (EWRM) Framework and implement new risk policies, procedures and processes where required to drive the firm’s governance forward ensuring adherence to best practice and standardisation of framework(s) across risk classes.
• To communicate effectively at all levels and escalate to the Head of Enterprise Risk and Global Head of Risk, and the wider senior management team, all material risk issues arising.
• To standardise and automate risk capital processes.
• To consider the factors affecting the approval of all “new products” on behalf of Risk and recommend their approval where appropriate.
• Form enduring and effective working relationships across all internal department and wider firm touch points.
• Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA

Skills and Experience:

• Comprehensive risk management experience preferably in a broker dealer environment
• Comprehensive knowledge of commodities and financial markets
• Experience working in a regulated environment
