    Overall Responsibilities


    As a Graduate, you will start by learning the fundamentals on the job and build your experience over time so that you can take on the following responsibilities:

    • Contribute to [FUEL Oil products broking capability to support liquidity for clients.
    • Working efficiently and supporting with making efficiencies, including but not limited to:
      • collaborating with data, research, other departments on the energy floor and analytics.
      • Supporting colleagues to identify opportunities for hedging strategies and clients.
      • Collaboration with central operations functions which support the broking role including but not limited to Operations and Technology.
      • Strategising to increase P&L, requiring ongoing analysis of markets and products in the market.

    Standard Responsibilities

    • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the FCA.
    • Adhering to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
    • Being a role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
    • At all times complying with the FCA’s Code of Conduct.
    • Ensuring that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
    • Reporting any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required.
    • Escalating risk events immediately.
    • Providing input to risk management processes, as required.

    The Company may require you to carry out other duties from time to time

    • Proactive mindset in keeping up to date with market research and incorporating into role efficiently.
    • Analytical skills, identifying opportunities and risks in a quick and decisive manner.
    • Experience of the infrastructural support required to efficiently support within the teams and business lines.
    • Knowledge of the underlying products at Marex within the Fuel Oil Products remit.
