Purpose of Role:

Marex is seeking a Trading Desk Assistant who provides administrative support to brokers and trading desks.

The depth of knowledge amongst its teams and divisions provides its customers with clear advantage, and its technology-led service provides access to all major exchanges, order-flow management via screen, voice and DMA, plus award-winning data, insights and analytics.

The MYD Market team within Marex is a dynamic team covering financial institutions (US and International Banks, Market Makers, Hedge Funds) on Equity Derivatives products (Index, ETF and Single Stock Options, Futures…).

This role covers the US Equity Derivatives institutional sales desk within Capital Markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to brokers with administrative tasks and projects pertaining to daily trading activity of the desk.
  • Perform daily P&L on desk and client performance, investigate, and resolve trade breaks and prepare and send client confirmation for listed and OTC options trades.
  • Handle position reconciliation and maintain reports for trade positions,
  • Ensure timely input of trades based on client orders and as directed by brokers,
  • Assist Sales-Traders throughout the lifecycle, from trade setup to post-trade confirmations.
  • Record and analyze trades in separate databases, daily and monthly invoice reconciliation and checking out with brokers clients.
  • Support trade flow and maintain accuracy of books and records for OTC and listed products,
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges,
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.

  • tAt all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduc
    • Carrying out regulatory activities under the Marex Financial and MSIL trading books
    • Liaising with clients in US; clients include banks, hedge funds, market makers, fund managers, institutional, trading houses and other trading boutiques.
    • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility
    • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
    • o escalate risk events immediately
    • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required
  • Strong understanding of options trading concepts and strategies
  • Prior experience or interest in financial markets and trading
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
  • Knowledge of basic coding (e.g., Python or VBA) a plus
  • Proactive mindset in keeping up to date with market research and incorporating into role efficiently
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this

Salary Range: $50,000 to $60,000 per year and eligible for discretionary bonus.
