Purpose of Role:

Marex is seeking an experienced, strategic, diligent, ambitious, and proactive individual, responsible for driving an execution desk supporting brokers. The initial focus is CME product however, grains product from all exchanges are in scope. Intermediate level position with the ability to work autonomously, and as part of a team and directly engage with clients. Commercial ability to maintain good relationship with clients and find new ones to bring flow.

The Agriculture department is one of the largest and most experienced agriculture teams in the market, with established teams in London, New York, and Chicago. This includes RCG, which has been one of the mainstays on the Chicago exchange trading floors since 1923.

This role covers the agriculture product execution function within the Agriculture department.

Responsibilities:

  • CME agriculture product trade execution and allocation, with the ability to expand to all exchanges and products.
  • Originate and execute orders across the portfolio.
  • Ensure that actions and behaviours are always in line with the company’s policies & procedures in a regulated role.
  • Entrepreneurially look for opportunities to use this capability to expand the Marex agricultural business.
  • Capture and disseminate market information to broker and customers.
  • Ensuring compliance with the company’s regulatory requirements under the SEC, FINRA, NFA, CFTC and other applicable exchanges.
  • Adhere to the operational risk framework for your role ensuring that all regulatory or company determined parameters are complied with.
  • Role model for demonstrating highest level standards of integrity and conduct and reflecting Company Values.
  • At all times complying with Marex’s Code of Conduct.
  • Carrying out regulatory activities under the Marex Financial and MSIL trading books.
  • Liaising with clients in US; clients include banks, hedge funds, market makers, fund managers, institutional, trading houses and other trading boutiques.
  • To ensure that you are fully aware of and adhere to internal policies that relate to you, your role or any other activities for which you have any level of responsibility.
  • To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required.
  • To escalate risk events immediately.
  • To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

  • Good understanding of global commodities and Agricultural markets.
  • Good knowledge of financial derivatives, especially exchange traded options.

  • Dependable, self-motivated, and resilient individual, with a proven ability to work as a proactive team player.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly in a high-pressure environment.
  • NFA Series 3 (preferred – but can be achieved in the role).
  • Analytical skills, identifying opportunities and risks in a quick and decisive manner.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the financial service markets and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working in a regulated environment and knowledge of the risk and compliance requirements associated with this.
  • Experience in operating on electronic infrastructure.
