Within the Marex Technology Department the Governance Team plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the firm by supporting Risk Management, Regulatory Compliance, Operational Efficiency, Strategic Alignment and Scalability.

Focussing on regulatory requirements, such as DORA (Digital Operational Resilience Act) this role will work with the Technology Governance team to help ensure it can continue to demonstrate compliance with relevant obligations.

We are looking for a 6 month fixed term, full time resource to sit within the technology governance team to support this and other workstreams.

The successful candidate will be Associate level with experience working in a relevant central IT function, (e.g. PMO, Controls, Strategy, Change, IT Risk, Operational Resilience) being able to demonstrate working knowledge of the DORA regime in a financial services organisation.

Further, where capacity exists, the candidate will be expected to contribute to other Tech Governance workstreams by providing aligned support as required by the Head of Technology Governance

The role is hybrid with the expectation of minimum 3 days / week operating on-site within Marex office.

Laptop equipment will be provided for secure access to corporate resources where personnel operate remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing ICT Third Parties and improving documentation
• Analysis of Regulatory requirements, conducting gap analysis and continuous improvement activities
• Ensuring relevant controls and deployed and being met.
• Reporting status and taking relevant action items from Business Change Teams and Working Group
• Owning Review cycles and document refresh
• At all times complying with the FCA’s Code of Conduct
• To report any breaches of policy to Compliance and/ or your supervisor as required
• To escalate risk events immediately
• To provide input to risk management processes, as required.

Competencies, Skills and Experience:

• Able to Follow a procedure or instructions autonomously, to deliver a workflow
• Provide ad-hoc support to more senior colleagues
• Able to develop expertise in a subject/ product area or specific skill set
• Ability to work with support and control teams outside of technology to achieve the Firm’s goals
• Exhibit excellent communication
• Ideally, an understanding of the financial services sector, including regulatory requirements and market trends
• Microsoft Office Suite / Spreadsheet (Excel) and data analysis
• General administrative support
